Impeach that Odious Man (and his administration)
Posted by: Krista
It’s late, and I don’t have time for a long post about this; however, I had to say something because withdrawing 5700 troops by December is too little, too late.
Isn’t it time this man was impeached? In fact, isn’t it long overdue?
In speech after speech, the smug Mr. Bush continues to plug this misbegotten war. For what? It wasn’t for weapons of mass destruction. It wasn’t for any credible threats Iraq made to the U.S. It wasn’t for the “safety” of the American people.
I am so tired of this man and his administration. I’m tired of them robbing us blind to fund a monstrosity. They have proven they will lie, cheat, and steal, and we have yet to hold them accountable for it. They lied about Iraq, they cheated us out of the respect we had with other countries, and they stole (and keep stealing!) our money to play at war. We’ve let them get away with it for nearly two terms.
We aren’t safer, and anyone who believes we are has never played Risk (the game). In Risk, you solidify your base before venturing out to conquer another territory. You protect your borders, building your armies along them until you have enough that you can slowly initiate your attempt at world dominance. You continue building your base even as you conquer.
This comparison may be incredibly simple compared to the real world. But I believe this:
This war has left our base vulnerable.
We need to resolidify our base by getting out of Iraq, and we need to hold the liars accountable for their dishonesty. I hold hope in the articles of impeachment, and I support the members of Congress who think it’s time to get the smug Mr. Bush and his cronies out of our White House.
It’s time we rejuvenate Howard Dean’s catchphrase: We need to take our country back. That’s my goal for the next year and a half and for the decades it will take to recover from what the smug and odious Mr. Bush and Company has done to us.

Seriously! I was listening to his speech in my car and I was so angry I was screaming at my radio. I am still so angry about it. Who does this a*****e think he’s kidding?
That’s why I’m so mad! It’s like he’s pushing us to see how much he can get away with, and we don’t push back (or at least not enough of us are pushing back).
Wow, Krista what a great site, loved it. Yes we do need to take the contry back. Iam just as mad as you because of all the lies. I can’t wait for Bush to be out of the White House. We got to work thogher so we can elect a Democratic President.
Thanks, Patti! Here’s to solidarity and to looking forward to cleaning up the mess - not much longer now!
