Not sure what they're trying to accomplish. If they make the ballot, the newspapers are saying it won't likely be voted on until the Nov. elections, when they are both up for re-election anyway. It seems these efforts would be better focused on helping to elect their opponents. Pervez Arpaio is a fascinating character study. He is jealous of other public officials' getting more press coverage than him, and clearly thinks our community would be a better place if his judgments were simply the last word -- on every subject -- kind of like Bush's daydream of how much easier it would be to be a dictator. First, I have no words to describe the bitch that asked the question other than despicable and perhaps ignorant. McCain has obviously improved his public presentation of himself since his "bomb, bomb, Iran" days. He did not immediately laugh and respond to the bitch who asked the question. He looked down, turned about 45 degrees and then laughed while asking someone behind him, "May I have the translation?" Poor John. It's so hard for him to keep a straight face.
