I miss Richardson!

I am watching the debate and feeling very lucky that we as Democrats have such fantastic candidates.  I am feeling a little uncomfortable that things are starting to get heated with the two front runners which is normal there will be a winner and a looser and we are all picking sides.  I think they are both great candidates.  With that being said watching the debates tonight there is someone missing who I am use to seeing…Gov. Richardson.  He played such a diplomatic role in the debates and all of the sudden I realized there is something missing and it hit me Gov. Richardson.  The pool of candidates will continue to shrink and that will just make debates that more substantive on the issues which I really do welcome so far it seems we have focused on personality rather than substance.  I am going out on a limb but I would guess the next candidate to be missing is Edwards who has turned out to be a great candidate for labor.  Edwards big mistake was getting rid of his senior advisors and depending on inexperienced staff that allowed a $400 haircut to make it to his campaign finance reports.  The general public will forget alot but not a $400 haircut.

I miss Dodd (seriously). I think he would have made a good president.

Dodd is still in the race! I mean…in an underdog, barely visible sort of way.

I couldn’t support Richardson. Anybody who entertains the notion of sucking water from the Great Lakes is Dead On Arrival for 5 of the most populous states in the nation. Import water from Lake Baikal or the Arctic Circle, but candidates are warned to keep the hands off the Great Lakes.

My point was that the Democratic debates were more interesting with Richardson, Dodd and Biden.

Makes sense. I can see how he’d highlight unique points from a Hispanic and from a Southwestern point of view.

Ugh. Personally I think we need to haze our candidates more. Anybody who wants the job of President is, by definition, a megalomaniac. The debate process should serve to humiliate these animals and put them in their place so that when they get the job, they know that if 50.001% of the population wants them to eat a live goldfish and bark like a dog…guess what?
