You are entitled to your opinion but you should understand that people disagree with you because you've presented nothing other than your own admitted bias to support your conclusory statement that Clinton is being picked on because she's a woman.

Mead presented valid examples of other candidates that were 'thorns in the side' of nominees ... and they were all men. Deals were made or attempted with Ted Kennedy in 80 and LBJ in 60 to placate them and unify the party for the general election.

No one has said anything about "rescuing" Clinton. There is no gender bias here. But when you cry wolf and try to find a vast mysoginist conspiracy behind every word, you do a real disservice.

Actually, in reference to a Supreme Court appointment, that would be pretty cool. Think about it ... win the election and get a 4 year term. Get appointed to the Court and serve for a lifetime. I think it's a tossup who might have the most long-term impact on the country!

Krista, I hate to extend your sports metaphor, but it's not just that one team is down and can't recover, it's that this is the last game before the super bowl, the longer the teams play the more tired the winning one becomes and they start the last game as soon as this one is over.

It's nice that Oregon and Puerto Rico are getting a chance to be competitive, but the last time they mattered in a Presidential primary was way back when the general election campaign began in August, not February or March.

Thanks for clarifying. I understand where you're coming from.

I keep hearing one of the points you just mentioned, which usually goes along the lines of "It's great that (insert state) is finally getting a voice in the primary."

I think that's a terrible argument for continuing this primary. If you, and others, want those states to have a say in the primary, that's a change we need to make from within the party - to either move the primaries to one day or move the dates closer to each other. Honestly, this whole extended primary may be exciting in some respects, but it is unfair and influenced by previous primaries in other states. That's my personal belief, and I'm open to reading opposing viewpoints.

The best argument I heard for this particular case was, "You don't stop a (insert sport) game because one team is losing and can't make a comeback." Sorry for invoking a sports comparison; I usually avoid them at all costs. This one struck truth, though.

I'll be glad when it's over. I'm still an Obama fan, but I don't like either of them very much right now.
