Nice family values there, John.

You might recall that back in 2000 there wasn’t too much love lost between John McCain and George Bush. After all, it was pretty well known that during that GOP primary Karl Rove orchestrated robocalls detailing McCain having an “illegitimate black baby” - referring to his adopted daughter from Bangladesh. They went out to Republican voters in South Carolina. McCain’s loss in that crucial state, and the end of his hopes for the Presidency that year, were attributed largely to that whisper campaign.
So why would John McCain see fit to retain people like Steve Schmidt and Tim Griffin, both proteges of Karl Rove, for his campaign? I understand he wants to win but aren’t some things sacred? Oh yeah, and Rove himself is on board the Straight Talk Express as an “informal advisor”.
I realize the good Senator doesn’t have too much affinity for his wife. But you’d think he’d draw the line at people who were scuzzy enough to attack his child.
Guess not.
