That money was not well spent in the LD 4 and LD 18 GOP Senate primaries, was it?

Looks like it’s going to be blowouts for Mssrs. Harper and Pearce in their respective GOP primaries. I don’t know why local bigwigs thought it was a good idea to invest heavily in business-friendly Republicans Zerby (LD 4) and Gibbons (LD 18).

Had they asked me, not that they ever would, I would’ve told them to put those ducats in Democratic challengers Rob Boehlke (4) and Judah Nativio (18). Both Dems are running Clean Elections but had those business honchos, including Jim Pederson (what was he thinking??), courted Boehlke and Nativio and persuaded them to run traditional, both candidates may have amassed considerable momentum at this point.

Instead they chose to put their eggs in the baskets of non-starters. Did these titans of industry all just move here recently or something? Who do they think shows up at the polls in droves for the Republican primaries? The moderates? Take a break from those Chamber of Commerce mixers once in a while and meet some of the people who live in this state, guys. Your ability to generate wealth is impressive but your political tone-deafness is not.
