My Friday party fun is thwarted.

I just realized the LD20 Clean Elections Debates are the exact same time as the Obama-McCain Debate on the 26th.  It’s not even a choice for me.  I’m going to represent for my local peeps at the ASU Technical Center in Tempe.   Democrat Rae Waters will be vying against John McComish and Jeff Dial for the House and Democrat Ted Maish will take on Republican John Huppenthal for the Senate. 

A fun fact about our slate of candidates is that both Rae and Ted are former Republicans.    I feel pretty good about both their chances because LD20 has picked up 3000 new Democratic voters while the Republicans have lost a small number.  3000 votes happens to be the margin that the Democrat who ran for the Lege in that district lost by in 2006.

    So whatever happened to that 2006 Democrat? You know, the one who turned a solid Republican advantage in voter registrations of 14K into a nail-biter of a race?

    You never seem to hear from her anymore. :))
