I just got an angry phone call from Steven Booth

I swear.  Shortly before 11pm my cell phone rang and a man asked, “Are you in charge of the Democrat Diva?”.  That was his first mistake.  It’s Democratic Diva, sir.

Booth went on to accuse me of “engaging in personal distruction” and libel.  I explained to him that my post was based on court documents that I had right in front of me.  He told me that I had my facts wrong.  He claimed that he had medical problems (there is some documentation of them in the paperwork I have) and that the tiny Asian woman that he pushed and whose back he broke was threatening the safety of his family.

He proceeded to rebuke me for engaging in ugly politics.  I asked him about flyers he was sending out about his opponent including one that slams him for – get this – a citation for underage drinking.  Well, that’s different, according to Booth, who then made some rather ugly (and dubious sounding) accusations about the man.

Sheesh, these Republicans and their double standards.

What medical problems could justify breaking the back of SOMEONE ELSE? And how was she threatening the safety of his family? by asking that he pay for what he and his wife had eaten?

I’ve noticed that Booths signs keep going up in front of other candidates signs. Someone needs to have a talk to his volunteers – it’s very clear that many of Booths signs are blocking other signs, that were not only there first BUT are still in good order and maintained.

Thats just my PERSONAL observation, but I caught on right away while driving around the Arcadia Biltmore district.

    Very frustrating.

I just checked out Booth’s web site. He states that he would”conduct domestic violence awareness seminars”. For whom??? For him or for us women who have been beaten battered men before. What a creep.

    Correction: been battered by men
Sorry, I am a bit upset over this article.

This guy has some gall. Thank you for spreading the word about him.

Wendy, it is upsetting. And for him to send out flyers castigating his OPPONENT for a possible minor legal transgression that involved no violence whatsoever is just beyond the pale. Did he really think no one was going to look into his background?

This is totally unacceptable for a Justice of the Peace. I’m voting for Steve Sarkis (Dem) for Arcadia-Biltmore Justice of the Peace! He’s worked in the Justice Courts and is the best candidate for the job. Please let your friends know to vote for Steve Sarkis! (Arcadia-Biltmore boundaries are approx. Central to Tatum/46th St, Glendale/Lincoln to McDowell Rd). To see your voting districts, use this link:
