Joel Sinclaire

He was a good friend of mine. A Democratic activist who cut his teeth in politics back in his home state of Maryland. Which is also my home state, and something we bonded on, for the Land of Mary is a marvelous locale from which to hail.
Joel didn’t have to take on Don Stapley in Maricopa Supervisory District 2 in 2008. The numbers were stacked against him, but Joel felt he had the stuff to compete with an entrenched Republican incumbent. And he did. Ultimately he didn’t prevail in the election but he put up a good fight.
Yesterday, his mother found him deceased in his bed. The coroner’s report hasn’t been released yet, but it appears he died of natural causes. http://www.azcentral.com/12news/news/articles/2008/11/24/20081124sinclaire-found1124-ON-CP.html
RIP Joel

Thanks for posting this Donna. This is so sad.
I hope that no one uses Joel or his widow to score political points or make ideological points. That would be a really tacky thing to do!
What a great man and a nice tribute. He will be missed, he was a great dem.
You mean kinda like the tacky thing you’re doing now, 54th?
