Who’s going to D.C. for the inauguration?

We’ve been catching up with friends and family in England and a lot of our discussions turn towards our next trip in a couple of weeks – to D.C. for Obama’s inauguration. We didn’t get around to buying tickets for a ball, but we’re hoping to get tickets to the inauguration from our newest elected Dem – Representative Ann Kirkpatrick (*fingers crossed*).

I’m a little apprehensive about the D.C. temperatures, especially after having experienced Paris and London at freezing temps. I’m sure it’ll all be worth it, though.

I know a few dems who are going to the inauguration – what are your plans?

I am going and was blessed by my fav and dependable Congressman Pastor with tickets. I also purchases a ticket to the AZ ball on the 20th $150 bucks and the day before to a peoples ball that was organized but volunteers for Obama it is at Zanzibar and that put be back 75 bucks. Today I got an email from the PIC (Presidential Inauguration Committee) about a ticket to the neighbors ball and that was 25 bucks. We are still working on other tickets but many of the events have a pretty high ticket price.

We just got email confirmation that we got tickets. Thank you, Congresswoman Kirkpatrick! I am so excited! We only have 64 minutes from the time we land in DC to the time the office closes to pick up our tickets. Cutting it very close, but my fingers are crossed for an on-time/early arrival.
