ADP- Fabulous and Funny

Well, we had a special election today, and all went well. We had three candidates stand up and do speeches and it was a blast! One of the candidates promised us ice cream and pizza, and wants each PC to have a laptop, and so when one the state committee persons left the meeting , she said” I want my ice cream and pizza, AND my laptop……NOW!” What a platform to run on! Don’t get me wrong, I agree! Sounds like a great plan to me!
Another candidate was working scientifically to combat global warming and the shifting of the platelets in the earth– all very important issues, but I wondered what he’d do as state Chair!
Democrats are the most wonderful people in the world- I’ll be a Democrat till the day I die….but I must admit there are moments when I envy the Republicans their complete control over their message – the walk in lock step, something I never want us to do, but oh…oh… how I’d like a little more control over the situation every now and then!
It all worked out great- we elected a smart, capable fellow who will try to listen to us from now on, do what it takes to get Democrats elected, and outsmart the Republicans the whole time (soon to be not that hard in Arizona).
The Republicans are getting ready to have a great deal of in-fighting and we are going to take this opportunity to mow them down!!!!
Ok, I’m fired and ready for 2010- let’s start now!

I am still waiting for all three… my ice cream, my pizza and my laptop – oh yeah… that guy didn’t win.

As always, I love ADP :) You never know what to expect… I loved the moment where the young man from LD3 in a panic realized no one wanted to be nominated first and he ran up to the mic to 2nd Don Bivens nomination… even though no-one had yet to be nominated. I loved it, I thought it was so sweet.
Gotta love my ADP.
But Ill give up some ice cream, pizza and even a laptop for a couple of wins in the next handful of elections ;)
What a cluster it was on Saturday. The calls for a division of the house really caught me off-guard!
Back and forth about the bylaws and disenfranchising voters, etc, etc.
Did you go to the YDAz event afterward? Good speakers as usual. Gotta love Ruben!
VWgal… I heard a lot of talk about the 2nding nomination but someone up in the front on the left side of the house nominated from the floor without using a mic. That was because no one went up until Ann did. :S
