What part of “illegal” doesn’t JP and conservative judicial activist John Keegan understand?

This story is a couple of days old but I didn’t get a chance to read the article until this morning. I expected Mecum would get off scot-free because IOKIYAR but there was more to the story than that and it’s infuriating.

So our friend Brett “Speedy” Mecum will not face any penalties for the photo radar speeding ticket he got for going 109mph in a 65mph zone. As you might have guessed, Mecum’s defense team argued that dear young Brett was the target of a political witch hunt by that Macciavellan Democratic organization known as the Department of Public Safety. That’s to be expected since the IOKIYAR tautology holds that it’s impossible for a Republican to do anything wrong, therefore any accusations of wrongdoing by a Republican are invalid and the accuser is picking on the accused because he is a Republican.

However, after mounting the IOKIYAR defense, Mecum’s charges were dropped by John Keegan, Republican Arrowhead Court JP and husband of Lisa Graham Keegan. John doesn’t believe in the cameras and claims he routinely dismisses charges involving them. Look, he’s entitled to his opinion about the constitutionality of speeding cameras and enforcement but they are the law of the land and he’s basically admitting to using his position as a JP to nullify the law. Imagine the reaction from conservatives if a liberal judge were routinely dismissing cases involving possession of pot?

I immediately pointed that out on the other blogs that JP Keegan was former Mayor and his wife was former Sup of Education… and no one even reacted. Very frustrating. Thank you for posting.
