Republican politician attempts to indoctrinate schoolchildren with his dogma. IOKIYAR.

Remember how Republicans, including Arizona’s own Tom Horne, got their knickers all in a twist last September over President Obama addressing American students about the importance of staying in school and being a good citizen?
Hyperventilated Horne back then:
“The White House materials call for a worshipful, rather than critical approach to this speech.”
Won’t someone think of the critical thinking abilities of the children??!? No one is better qualified to evaluate that quality than Tom “High Stakes Multiple Choice Test” Horne. But what does he think of Rep. John Boehner’s comments to PA elementary school students yesterday?
“(Liberals) don’t have a lot of faith in the American people. They want the government to decide,” he told the children, when 13-year-old Abbeigh Starcher asked Boehner if he believed people were good at heart.
“Americans by and large will do the right thing, if they’re empowered to do so. If they’re trusted,” he said.
Unless they are gay, minorities, or uppity females, in which case the government (led by conservatives like John Boehner, natch) should have a good deal of determination over their lives. Boehner just forgot to mention that little detail. Oh wait, he said “Americans”. Never mind.
