This is inexcusable, even for the Arizona Republic

It was bad enough that the editorial was a pile of false equivalence bullhockey. Remember how Democratic lawmakers and liberal pundits were egging on the “ecoterrorists, destructive animal-rights activists and left-wing anarchists”? Yeah, neither do I.
It was worse for the Republic to indulge in the kind of rhetoric always used to excuse and enable bullies and batterers – “To the Democratic Party apparatchiks exploiting predictable tensions to raise a few bucks and stigmatize your opponents”. Predictable tensions. You know, like how he wouldn’t hit you if you’d stop provoking him.
But this is downright embarrassing:
The most disturbingly violent act to date was a gunshot fired into the offices of Rep. Eric Cantor – a Republican. We pray it ends there.
On edit: Eugene Robinson’s column appearing in today’s Republic also mentions the Cantor office gunfire incident but his piece is two days old.

Especially since that was a random shot that hit his office. Someone was shooting into the air and it could have actually killed someone instead of hitting his office.
I assume you saw this:
