Theater criticism and pearl clutching in the Republic’s CD1 endorsement

Oh my stars and garters! Kirkpatrick has always seemed the even-tempered embodiment of rural Arizona, someone who lived the life and talked the talk. So, it was jarring to see her unbounded contempt for opponent Jonathan Paton. She accused him of dissembling and pandering, attacks that executed with finesse would have been acceptable in a [...]

Obama did just fine in that debate

Granted, I watched the debate at a bar with a group of Democrats so it was a biased crowd but I and many of my viewing companions did not see this Obama debacle that so many others did. I was live tweeting it, and from all the blubbering and moaning I was seeing online you [...]

Things I learned at a mixer this evening

Refusing to debate or answer questions is a sign of arrogance, not strength

Jan Brewer won’t do another debate with Terry Goddard and she refuses interviews with unfriendly reporters. Phoenix City Council (District 6) Debate

The Phoenix City Council District 6 candidates debate at the Biltmore tonight (6:30pm). I’ll send periodic updates through Twitter, so follow DemocraticDiva to get updates as I tweet them. I’m not as pithy or sarcastic as Donna, but I’ll do my best to entertain. Disclaimer: I support Dana Kennedy but will be as unbiased as [...]

I’ll be on Channel 12 in the morning.

Providing my take of the debate between 5:30 and 6:30 am.   Which means I have to get up at horrible o’clock in the morning.  I don’t know about y’all, but I’m pretty frosted about that dismissal of “women’s health” by McCain.
