Lena Saradnick

Our thoughts are with former Rep. Lena Saradnick. In case you haven’t heard, she resigned her District 26 House seat due to recovering from a stroke suffered late last year. Lena won in a Republican leaning district and has provided excellent representation for her district. I know the decision to resign had to be a very difficult one for her to make, but ultimately seems to be about ensuring that her constituents continue to have the best representation possible, which she didn’t feel she could provide at this time.

Lena, you are the ultimate Democratic Diva! I know you’re vying with Kyrsten Sinema for best-dressed at the Legislature. Don’t tell her, but you have my vote.

If we had more elected like Lena we would be able to fix many problems including our voter system. She wanted to represent the people to fix problems and she worked to do just that. I have no doubt that Lena will be back to represent the people. We need more people like Lena to run to represent us.

Hey! I read that. I love Lena and miss her terribly already at the Legislature. But challenging my Best Dressed status – them’s fightin’ words!
