Quick and easy down and dirty on propositions and judges

Alright, so some of y’all have asked me, both online and IRL, for assistance voting on ballot measures and judges. I’m flattered!

Here’s all the info you need on the props. The folks over at Arizona Advocacy Network have compiled a guide to all of them, with pro and con arguments and who’s supporting them. They don’t tell you how to vote but once you see how the usual right wing and corporate suspects line up behind certain ones you shouldn’t have trouble deciding.

For the record, here’s how I voted:

106 – No
107 – No
109 – No
110 – Yes
111 – No
112 – No
113 – No
203 – Yes
301 – No
302 – No

As for judges there are non-partisan sources that will tell you how attorneys rank them but here’s a much better shortcut: Arizona Judges Review. It’s by Republicans so just do the opposite of whatever they say. I figure if that outfit thinks a judge is a firebreathing commie liberal judicial activist they must be an okay judge.

Why no on 111? I’ve also heard no one give a really good reason to support 111.

Thanks for posting about this. I was doing phone banking for LD12 and many of the people I called did not know this years ballot measures. I think it is very important that people learn about 107 and what that could mean for Arizona. Getting rid of affirmative action here in Arizona could be detrimental in a state where legislation has been passed that targets people of color.

I am cramming before I vote. I spend 2 hours searching for a website to help me out. Yours helped the most. I am a new fan.
