Standing up for the freedom of teabaggers to wear stupid shirts at the polls.

PHOENIX – Backers of the Tea Party are arguing in court whether voters can wear Tea Party shirts at the polls.

The head of Maricopa Elections Department says they’re not allowed to because the Tea Party is a political organization, but the Goldwater Institute argues this goes against the first amendment.

GI boldly steps in on a trivial issue that will please the Republican base but when SB1070 was the biggest thing happening in AZ they were silent. I mean, it’s not like SB1070 had anything to do with Constitutional liberty or affected the business climate here at all.

If they win I will wear a shirt to the poll that has a fighting donkey standing on a teabag that says “I TREAD ON YOU.”
